Fall Bird Count – Fall tally for “Bird Hotspots Initiative”

(local/4-5 hour endeavor)

September 19 th (Saturday; 8:00 AM-12:00 Noon) – Island Lake State Recreation Area (park pass/fee
may be required)

We will meet within the park (arrive early for coffee and donuts) at River Bend Picnic Area (get tally
forms and assigned areas to cover), and we will have our post count tally here (bring a
lunch/snacks/drink). Count areas terrain can vary, but generally fairly level with light trails.

NOTE:
Avoid heavy mountain biking trails (hazardous).
