Fall Bird Migrants – The Wildlife Drive Auto Tour

(1.25-hour drive/half-day trip)

September 26 th (Saturday; 8:30 AM-12:00 Noon) – Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge, Saginaw, MI
(no park pass/fee required)

We will meet at the Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge Headquarters parking lot at 8:30 AM (bring snacks/drink). This amazing 10,000-acre wildlife refuge is a migratory funneling location to behold, with vast expanses of field, forest, and diked areas teaming with a wide variety of fowl and fauna.

The auto tour is 7 miles long and requires frequent stops along the way for your viewing pleasure. Binoculars and spotting scope are essential. Layers of clothes and hat recommended. Expect wind and changing temperatures.
