Sandhill Crane Migration

November 7 th (Saturday; 4:00 PM-6:00 PM) – Phyllis Haehnle Memorial Sanctuary, Grass Lake, MI (no park pass/fee required)
We will meet at the Sanctuary parking lot at 4:00 PM. This is Michigan Audubon’s largest bird sanctuary, located in Jackson County. Each Fall hundreds of Sandhill Cranes congregate in the evening during migration, flying overhead in “V” formation. As we await their arrival, Steve Jerrant, Sanctuary Steward will give a brief talk on the Sanctuary and lead a short walk (1 mile or less).
Binoculars and Spotting scope are essential. Dress warm.
